Martin Margiela x H&M officially reveal in New York

The collection with H&M, a series of re-editions of Maison Martin Margiela garments and accessories from various seasons, was further revealed in special art installations on various floors: artists Daniel Arsham, Frederique Chauveaux and Noemie Goudal, created sculptures, projections and photographs exclusively for the event. “Tonight’s party has been such an exciting evening, full of surprises. In every room, on every floor, you never knew what you were going to find. The installations showed the Maison Martin Margiela collection with H&M in the most amazing and original way and we believe our customers will really

Maison Martin Margiela x H&M , Affordable fashion to (almost) everyone

I was over the moon when I heard the rumor became true that Maison Martin Margiela would be collaborate with H&M for their annual collaboration collection. MMM brand itself has been well known for over the top extreme line and one of the most outrages innovation of the fashion industry.

Some say they are just simply "weird" 

Personally I think it took a lot of courage for H&M to take such leap step into this direction. But again I truly think it is a smart move. For years and years ever since H&M have been doing collaboration collection with some of the major designer, we have to admit we got a little yawn especially when everyone is doing it.  To do something exciting and to draw attention back they need something extreme and which can be the best answer if not Maison Martin Margiela indeed. MMM itself will broaden their market into some what mass. But seriously not everyone is born to wear MMM. Win win situation once again. 

Affordable probably true but effort-able? Meaning no matter how hard you try if cannot wear MMM, you cannot wear MMM. It takes guts and braveness to wear such distinguish clothes. And likely if you are meter and a half ( and a little bit more) like me, you really need to think hard. Much that would love to own this collection I still find it hard to really buy some of the pieces. Not only the proportion that could be difficult but also people who wear MMM cannot be afraid to wear them. People will turn their head when they see you for sure. There is no world for classic in MMM dictionary and they are truly interesting piece of art. The collection with H&M looks very expensive but we hope the price would not be the same. My prediction is that it will slightly be higher than the previous one but for MMM fans and wanna be's I still think it will be a real bargain.

So then again it is back to the question you need to ask yourself before this coming November 15th if what Maison Martin Margiela will offer you with such good deal will suit you. Not only just because you can afford it but will it suit you. Even though I might end up buying nothing from this collection but likely I would not be disappointed. Thank you H&M for keeping up a good work.
