Collaboration Collection, opportunity or fall trap?

For many years now that mass brand like H&M or Target has taken an opportunity to collaborate with some of the famous designers, bloggers, or even a movie (TV) stars. Part of the game is for both end to get huge publicity and some turn over for the season ends. Sound like a nice plan right since everyone seems to be doing it.  So what do we fashion victim get from all this besides ‘the high’ of our shopping spree.

Some are the collector. Well with that price and all those brands, it is very attractive to be honest. Some are dreamer. Some people would take a whole life to be able to afford a piece of the luxury brand. Some do it for the rush and addiction to ‘I gotta have it’ drug. Either way it is still an opportunity to some or a fall trap to others.

Just because they have a big name attaching to the tag doesn’t always mean it worth spending money. I am not saying no to some of the gorgeous worth queuing pieces but being a smart shopper know better than just to get a hand on anything or picking the one that scream ‘you’ and put down a good investment.   Don’t fall for the trap either it is the price or the brand. Know yourself and your style, plan and think it over a little bit before you hit the queue next time. After all you got a chance to see the collection before the actual sales.

And just to kick you into another collaboration vibe, here is some of the Versace for H&M Spring collection. Is it just me or I would rather skip to Mar 8 and get excited on Marni instead?
